winter whites.

last month our school had an auction and the theme was "vintage travel." we did well with our small budget by creating vignettes of old luggage, globes and maps.  tables were topped with burlap and collections of postcards, souvenirs and vintage vases with simple arrangements.  our tall pilsner glasses were topped with a globe and lit from below.  my favorite creations were the large paintings based off of vintage travel posters.  a friend to our school and local art teacher julie from artrageous created paint by number drawings for us and i think they turned out to be fabulous!

what a fun family to work with again! i did the flowers for the older sister a few years ago and now several friends, as well-thanks for all of the recommendations-it's the best compliment!
the bride wanted pinks, purples and blues with a little orange to pop against the steel grey dresses and tiffany blue accents. i love the way it turned out!
ceremony: st. john's united methodist
reception venue: indian hills (gorgeous!)
three styles of centerpieces: tall, iron holders with hanging candles, textural wreaths surrounding iron lanterns and a heavy glass cylinder with a full arrangement. on the head table we used the bouquets in cylinder vases down the center.
